What is Extravaganza?
Extravaganza is a weekend youth retreat where middle and high school students from Nazarene churches across the South Central Field come together for worship, teaching, community, and friendly competition. Students are challenged to use their talents and abilities with godly character while growing in their faith.

Who is it for?
Middle school and high school students.

Why we go:
Extravaganza is designed to:

  • Help students encounter Christ through worship and teaching

  • Challenge students to use their gifts in healthy, Christ-centered competition

  • Introduce students to Southern Nazarene University and encourage them to consider SNU for college

Dates & Location:

  • Dates: March 26–29 (dates may vary year to year)

  • Location: Southern Nazarene University – Bethany, Oklahoma

Cost:
Total Cost: $250 (cost may vary year to year)

  • $95 Registration Fee – paid directly to SNU at registration

  • $155 Lodging & Transportation Fee – paid to Lantana Community Church

Registration (Both Steps Required):

  1. Register and pay the $95 SNU fee at:

    • Select West Texas District

    • Select Lantana Community Church

  2. Pay the $155 lodging & transportation fee to Lantana Community Church

  3. Please notify Pastor Michael once registration is complete

Registration Deadline:

  • March 11

Travel & Lodging:

  • Students travel together with Wildfire Youth leaders

  • Lodging is at the Hilton Garden Inn Oklahoma City Midtown

  • A Chick-fil-A stop is planned on the way (students should bring money for dinner)

Drop-off & Pick-up:

  • Drop-off: Thursday, March 26 @ 3:00 PM
    (Meet across from the church in the Kroger parking lot)

  • Pick-up: Sunday, March 29 @ 10:30 AM at the church
    (Parents are encouraged to stay for Sunday service)

Phones & Spending Money:
Students may keep their phones during the weekend. Optional spending money may be brought for snacks, coffee, or souvenirs.

Supervision & Safety:
Students are supervised by trained, background-checked Wildfire Youth leaders throughout the entire weekend. Leader contact information will be shared with parents prior to departure.

Packing Information:
A packing list will be sent to families before the trip.
